A distinguished scholar and seasoned educator, he brings over 30 years of extensive teaching experience to the field of historical research. He holds a Ph.D. from Gauhati University, where he is recognized for his rigorous academic contributions. His primary research interests delve into the cultural and economic history of 19th century Assam, providing deep insights into the socio-economic transformations of the region during the colonial era. In addition to her historical work, he maintains a specialized focus on religion studies, bridging the gap between faith traditions and historical developments. Throughout her career, he has been a dedicated mentor, currently guiding several Ph.D. students through their own research journeys. With nearly two decades specifically focused on history instruction,he continues to contribute to the academic community through both teaching and high-level doctoral supervision
Dr. Sangeeta Kakoty

Dr. Kakoty is a distinguished academic and media professional with an impressive career spanning over two and a half decades. With over 26 years of teaching experience, she has established herself as a cornerstone in her field, balancing her pedagogical responsibilities with a high-profile presence in the media. Since 1994, she has been a versatile voice and face in the industry, serving as a News Presenter for Doordarshan (DDK), a dedicated Drama Artist for All India Radio (AIR), and a seasoned anchor for television and live stage events. Her ability to bridge the gap between rigorous academic theory and practical communication has made her a unique figure in both sectors. Beyond her local impact, Dr. Kakoty’s influence extends into the international arena through her extensive work with Rotary International. Her commitment to global service and professional exchange is highlighted by her selection for the Group Study Exchange (GSE) program, which took her to the United States in 2006. Furthermore, her academic and peace-building credentials were further solidified in 2013 when she served as a Rotary Peace Fellow (RPF) at the prestigious Chulalongkorn University in Thailand (Class XV). This diverse portfolio of experience—ranging from the classroom and the broadcasting studio to international diplomatic forums—underscores her role as a leader in communication and global community service.

With nearly 15 years of experience in academia, she is a distinguished scholar whose work deeply explores the transformative periods of Northeast India. She holds a PhD from Gauhati University, where her research established her as a recognized authority in historical studies. Her primary academic interests lie in the cultural and economic history of 19th-century Assam, focusing on the socio-economic shifts and cultural evolutions that shaped the region during this pivotal era. For the past 18 years, she has dedicated her career to teaching history, fostering critical thinking and historical consciousness in her students. Her extensive teaching tenure is complemented by a rigorous research background, allowing her to bridge the gap between archival history and modern educational practice. She remains committed to uncovering the nuances of Assamese heritage while contributing to the broader scholarly understanding of regional Indian history.
Puspa Deori
PUSPA DEORI

She holds a Master’s degree in History from Cotton University, with specialisation in Modern Indian History. She has also completed a Diploma in Human Rights, reflecting her academic interest in rights-based perspectives and social justice. She is presently pursuing her PhD in History, with her research focusing on the ethno-history of the Deori community of Assam. Her work engages with socio-cultural transformations, indigenous knowledge systems, and community narratives through ethno-historical methodology. Her academic interests include Modern Indian History, historiography, human rights studies, indigenous studies, cultural studies and Digital Humanities She remains committed to both teaching and research, striving to foster critical thinking and historical consciousness among students.
